Join us for a day of eco-printing at our farm , to get your hands-on experience creating natural prints on fabric. We would also be enjoying an in-house, Tamil meal prepared by Shobana who follows traditional recipes learnt from her ancestors. All the materials would be ready here and the printed pieces can be taken back along with you.
The day starts with a quick tour of our 100 year old ancestral house and our kitchen garden. We then jump into the pre-process to prepare the fabric for printing and will also start bundling up your printed fabric and leave it to cook until we come back from lunch.
After lunch we get to the best part of opening the bundles to check our prints and fix them onto the fabric. We then end the day with a quick photo session and a discussion on caring for the printed textiles.
We will also have raw materials and products to purchase on site, in case you want to try this back at home.
